I took the kids to daycare today on my cargo ebike. I was a bit worried about the snow in the alley since those don’t get plowed, but it was no problem. One perk of North Vancouver is they plow every street eventually, whereas Vancouver only plows major roads and bike routes.

Makes sense to me. Same reasoning as keeping a pizza stone (or some other thermal mass) in your oven at all times so that opening the oven door won’t lower the temperature as much.
