The show last week by President Trump & VP Vance, as they bullied and attempted to dominate one of our allies, a smaller democracy in need of assistance was reprehensible. Their turn away from our allies, and toward authoritarian regimes such as Russia, is heartbreaking & wrong.

Last wknd, #jayobernolte said he was glad that someone is looking at government waste & fraud. Musk & DOGE are doing nothing more than cruelly mutilate the government & its workforce. This is not looking for fraud, DOGE = fraud. Congress holds the power of the purse. Mr. Obernolte, do your job.

Let's do this!
We’re partnering w/ a number of groups participating in an #economicblackout THIS Friday, 2/28.

Do not spend, if possible.
No Starbucks on your way to work.
No drinks w/ the coworkers after work.
No dining out.
No Walmart run.
No quick McDonald’s drive-thru hit.

Hurt their wallets!

This seems like an experiment worth doing.

I would actually endorse more than a one-day economic strike, but I would also be mindful of independent businesses, because small-scale entrepreneurs are us.
Short-term practice run for major events.

Recently, my partner & I have been phoning our Congressional representatives regularly (both local and DC numbers) to urge them to take back "the power of the purse" that Elon Musk has stolen. I urge readers to do the same. It may be working: www.nbcnews.com/politics/con...
When the pain hits home, Republicans balk at Trump's spending cuts and tariffs
From reducing NIH funding to slashing USAID's food program to imposing new tariffs, GOP lawmakers are beginning to speak out — carefully — against some of Trump's actions.
