Every now and again I like to paint these very square-ish faces, real close. Partially, because they look funky on the gram, partially because it's gratifying occasionally to start with the eyeballs.

Drawing horses is so hard to me (I think it’s because in middle school, when the weird kid paths diverged I went weird wolf instead of weird horse) but this looks like it could possibly be something like a horse and that makes me dance.

Day two of Florida: I'm enjoying the downtime , but I miss The Dog. I only brought a certain amount art supplies with me- which is good. Making those choices upfront frees me up to be anxious about other things. Like the way I just cannot see crabs because they're INSIDE THE SAND.

Stuck on a plane for two hours- painted a plant man. My feel yearn for the ground.

I wish I could recreate the intensity of my bfa program at home- I miss how important it made everything feel. It's hard to recreate having regular access to a peer group, though. :/
