My apologies, that first part came out incomplete. If there is a chance "why not" try! Im totally the go for it supportive way. Im glad you are helping her through this

If it is possible, why try. The treatment can mess with the pancreas. A family member wasnt diabetic, but their sugar levels went bonkers and required insulin. that was after the first round of chemo
