The NDP have 38 seats in the Legislature and are the official opposition, probably more than flatlining.

Short of just turning the whole place into rubble and not occupying I'm not sure they can take the island without millions of casualties. Would they win eventually, maybe probably, but it would be so costly.

Taiwan is so well defended against specifically a Chinese invasion, it just won't happen. The US would actively have to attack Taiwan as well for there to be any chance.

The goal was and always has been to make voting as unappealing as possible. Either by hoops, forms or just raw time-to-vote. This election will leave a bad impression just in time for the next election in Alberta...

At 4 mill though he's going to be paid as a 5/6 in short order. Also the LTIR credit will probably be close to 4m next season so if he's injured they get all his money back.

Winning in the current NHL is as much on the ice as it is avoiding the NHL's current golden child in anything that creates a decisions point. Be it playoffs, discipline or greivance.

I had a bit of a different experience. I was in a program for gifted students for 8 and 9, but then went to public highschool in the standard stream. The gifted program helped me by giving me no time to get bored or distracted, I had nearly the opposite experience in HS.
