Calling Firefox not as secure as Chrome seems strange. Firefox Sync is zero knowledge by default, unlike Chrome which is only zero knowledge if you set a passphrase. And you can set a master password for local access same as Chrome, it literally says so in the mozilla.org article you linked to.
