It's one of the few I've seen that focuses not just on the navies, but also uses a larger scale applicable to major galactic powers - fleets of thousands of ships and hundreds of thousands of crew.

If you neither know nor care about this difference (not you, proverbial You), just use Eastern Time (ET), the official label that floats between EST and EDT. Every time zone in the US has this.
