I'm running for Charter Review Commission to fight for democratic access to county council, protect vulnerable residents, and hold leaders accountable to Pierce County and WA's inclusive, democratically-decided laws, rather than Trump's arbitrary decrees.
Six of the eight wonderful folks who jointly launched for myself, Bronwyn Clarke and Zev Cook at today's awesome South Tacoma canvass! We hit hundreds of doors and had great conversations.

I'm honored to be speaking at a League of Women Voters District 4 Charter Review Candidate Forum on October 20th. Join me and my fellow progressive candidates Kate Ginn and Jake Hunter for some real talk.

We had EIGHT folks out on doors today supporting myself, @zevfortacoma.bsky.social and Bronwyn Clarke, all progressive, people powered candidates endorsed by Tacoma DSA and all fighting for working folks. Thanks, y'all!

The crowd chanting at the beginning of yesterday's powerful rally for trans youth gender affirming care, by Tacoma DSA and several partners. I was impressed by the energy, the speeches, and the demands. Mary Bridge and Multicare, do the right thing! Attorney General Nick Brown, make 'em do it!

Today's campaign update. Beautiful late summer weather combined with 12 foot Skellies for the win!

Just some pics from a few great canvassing shifts, friend's fundraisers, and awesome trans youth healthcare rallies over the last few days. We're only a couple weeks into canvassing and approaching 1000 doors hit.

It's been a great week for the campaign! Last night, Tacoma DSA members voted unanimously to give $750 to my race and eight members signed up to volunteer. And these four wonderful folks joined me for door knocking in Hilltop this evening. You should get involved, too!

It's my first #devinforthepeople canvassing video, y'all! Today I'm supporting Latasha Palmer for Tacoma City Council... and, of course, you should support ME for Pierce County Charter Review Commission!

I'm overjoyed to once again earn the endorsement of my former union, UAW Local 4121. I was a rank-and-file member from 2005-2009, and have since collaborated frequently with the local via my former work with SEIU 925. They know I'll fight for a count charter that works for all.

This week's campaign newsletter focuses on what @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social's win in NYC means for local, people-powered candidates like myself and my friends/endorsers @zevfortacoma.bsky.social, and @wilsonkatieb.bsky.social. I'm also honored to have the endorsement of Katie's organization, TRU.

1/2) I'm very excited to announce two more major organizational endorsements in my Charter Review Commission race, from Indivisible Tacoma and FairVote Washington. They support my campaign's fighting spirit, centering the issues, and commitment to democracy at all levels of government.

These puppies just need a union bug and final printing, then they're coming soon to a door near you! Thanks to the always awesome work of Jude Grey with Felt Left.

I'm researching for some of the most important policy decisions we'll face on the Charter Review Commission, starting with this exciting and timely book that my prior campaign manager Marco recommended. I've also suggested it to other candidates, too. Maybe we'll get a little reading group going?

It's official, y'all! Just filed for my race with Pierce County elections, AND Holly got this great pic of me for the voter pamphlet. Exciting!

1/2 I was honored to join dozens of Pierce County residents from every single district yesterday in support of Resolution 2025 - 139 S, committing the county to follow "Keep Washington Working Act" and block local collaboration with ICE. I'm happy to report the resolution passed with a majority.

Lots of folks have asked why I'm running for Pierce County Charter Review Commission, right after another race. I have many reasons. One is protecting our most vulnerable community members from Trump and ICE. Our sheriff has committed to collaboration with ICE, and Republicans have committed to him.
