It feels like a Game Awards curse to a degree. I know, there is almost nowhere to go but down from the top, but it feels like a lot of Keighley GOTY winners fumble the ball after. Telltale, Bioware, Bethesda GS, Blizzard, even CDPR and how they messed up Cyberpunk at launch. Is it just hubris?

I was truly looking forward to this game. I'm not touching it with a 10 foot pole now. I hope they find a way to make another game after this one and not use AI, but this game fails to meet their sales targets, and they go under, it is of their own doing.

However, Germany knows very well what fascism looks like, and if THEY are saying that the US is the biggest threat to world peace, you'd better believe them. No one would know better.

Because Russia is weak, and everyone can see that now. Its on the verge of collapse, and that is after 5 years of prolonged war that they started and said would be over in 2 weeks. No one in Germany has any real reason to be worried about Russia.

For sure. The trade off is the lack of competition though, right? Fewer games coming out in late November-January should equal out to a less crowded market, which can be good for sales, even if it means fewer awards. I guess the downside there is everyone is strapped for cash around the holidays.

It's true, but I think it's a balancing act. If you come out early November, you're very top of mind for people coming up with these lists, as opposed to a lot of games that came out in January - March that are basically forgotten about by Thanksgiving.

Could it be that the types of gamers that are into this type of genre, are maybe more prone to spending endless money on cosmetics and/or pay to win mechanics?

That one took me over 8 hours lol. Basically every free minute I had last weekend. Probably 80 or 90 tries. Was it worth it? It was satisfying to finally beat it, but you're very close to the one that may have me throwing in the towel as well.
