Matches are the tote bags of the restaurant world. Something to leave behind for your customer, to reminded them of the wonderful experience they had. Nobody smokes anymore or scribble phone numbers on the back of match books, but for the past 18 years I design one for every restaurant I worked on.

Perhaps the nomination for Fernanda Torres for Best Actress and I Am Still Here for best picture, is a reaction to the election of Trump. A movie about the perils of a dictatorship and a nod for how the Brazilian justice system dealt with the prosecution of Jair Bolsonaro.
