Like, Better Call Saul was a slow burn, but we knew going in it would lead into Breaking Bad and all that fun; also the first two episodes had more than enough tension to hook me. So far, Pluribus has given away too much of its "mystery" and seems to be twiddling its fingers and I'm bored.

It's very slow, and isn't building to something fast enough. I want to like it but I'm so bored.

Either way she's a good character. Marie is the terrible character everyone should hate. She's annoying and selfish.

Was related to his cancer. Once she suspected drugs dealing she hated him. It was jarring and out of character IMO. It felt like her character would first try to reason/give him an ultimatum to quit. Instead she wants a divorce (understandable) and wants nothing to do with him.

A lot of sexism was tied to her hate. I did a rewatch a few years ago and found her to be very understandable and believable. My one complaint is her instant switch to hating Walter once she suspected he was selling drugs. Prior to that she was sympathetic to Walter and assumed his behavior

My issue with the movie was that none of the cast felt charismatic or stood out. The two interesting characters (Phastos & Makkari) are backgrounded.
Also the fact The Eternals were on Earth for the entire Thanos saga introduced a plot hole for me.

What frustrated me were the people declaring Damien Leone an Auteur and a horror genius. I think people saw that the movie wasn't mainstream and had a cult-like following that it must be good. Seemed like all the worst bits of Hostile and Turistas.

I put off watching the first because it looked like it was shot on a shoestring budget and those don't tend to be a diamond in the rough people make them out to be. I finally saw enough posts on TikTok last year that I relented and gave it a watch. Halfway through I said I'm not watching the sequel.

I only watched the first film but it was an absolute piece of shit. The loosest of narratives imaginable to stitch together pure unadulterated torture porn. There were no merit or impressive aspects of the film. Just mean-spirited and brutal to say it was like that's a badge of honor. Also too long.
