Goblin Enthusiast
Yeah, I feel that #indiedev

I had to go and find video of it. The fuckass arch only makes slightly more sense in the N64 version. Grezzo's mistake was making a doorframe out of what looks like wood when keeping it all as brick would have been better.

You are definitely right, but they did some interesting blending of multiple textures here so its only got bits and pieces of Alias 3

It aint much, but its a very proud day for me to finally have a working inventory system for my game. #godotengine #gamedev

He would hit it with one of these.

Heres a demonstration of what I made with it so far. It turns out adjusting large chains of springbones manually is super tedious, so I used a new 4.4 feature to streamline it: Export Tool Buttons! I made it loop through each chain, increasing the radius of the bone as it goes through.

So, Im working on a tutorial video for a new #Godot 4.4 feature. Its going to be the first time Ill be producing any sort of tutorial content, but I feel that its something that devs will need. Im currently experimenting with the new feature myself, but I have prepared a sneak peek!

I truly adored this game. It helped get me through some darker times in my life too.

Another bit of progress on my 90s Video Rental Store Sim, now you can rotate the placeable objects. Not groundbreaking, but its the first time Ive ever done something like this. #godotengine #gamedev

Ran into a funny bug today where instances of my bookshelf were spawning in really tiny. Accidentally made a video rental store for ants! #gamedev #GodotEngine

Testing the new gif support with the goblin girl from my Acerola Jam entry from earlier this year.

I did my part.

I love the simple tasks just as much as I love the complex ones. For 90s Video Rental Store Sim, I've got to have some shelving units and places to put all the rentals. So I created a bunch of Marker3Ds for them to go! (Don't worry, I replaced the sphere meshes with box meshes, I'm not crazy) #godot

Behold, the rarer misaligned ape print(screen). Collectors go crazy for it

Got nothing fun to share about my game right now cuz its all just data stuff Im working on, so as a treat, here is a picture of my Cat, Oliver. Hes judging us all. Gazing into our soul, he sees the true nature of who we are. Do not disappoint Oliver.

Woke up to a lot of new followers. Hello, Im Demiqas. Im an indie dev, Godot is my engine of choice, and I have a goober of a cat named Oliver.

Got the basis of my boomer shooter mode for 90s Video Rental Store Sim going now. First time I've ever made anything like this, so its all been a learning experience for me. #godot #indiedev

Traits are being actively worked on! Hopefully we could expect to see them in 4.5 github.com/godotengine/...

Oh yeah? Bring it on!
November 13, 2024 at 8:34 AM
Some progress on my 90s Video Rental Store sim! Ive got a basic first person controller setup, object placement, proper pausing, a basic UI, and a basic store environment.

Setting goals and milestones/deadlines as an indie dev is important, mostly so you can feel really good when you accomplish one of the goals, even if its super simple and you gave yourself an insanely generous deadline to get it done. Mine was "make a basic store environment"

Using my Godot project's capabilities of spawning objects at the end of a raycast for only good, wholesome things. Yup, not gonna do anything nefarious at all. #godotengine #gamedev

Well, I got placing instanced objects for my 90s Video Rental Store Sim figured out, which is great for me. But in the meantime, the walls and floor of my test level look positively infected! #godotengine #gamedev
