Baseball seems super high drama these days. 18 innings??? And players that do this??? I don’t normally follow but must admit, I am intrigued.

I have learned that is an axolotl (ak suh la tul) costume and that it is an actually existing endangered aquatic salamander that lives only in the canals of Mexico City. Saw several today&thought I would share in case you too thought this was some kind of anime reference you weren’t getting.

Honestly, this is why we need a qualitative data lab. People are dunking on these folks or calling them stupid but they are *reasoning about politics* and in similar ways, it’s just really difficult to decipher & we don’t have the long form interview data at scale that we would need to get insight.

I just like to post these data from time to time to puncture the mythological aura of mid 20th c protests. They were less popular than pretty much any 21st c mass action & people criticizing them used the same lines. Protest is about people coming together, shaping narratives, & building power.

Standing in the rain with a couple thousand people in Providence shouting NO KINGS is such a ridiculous thing to have to do but here we ALL are across our towns, counties, cities, states, country, & around the 🌍 doing it.

Honestly this scolding is so hilarious. Do you think the people of BlueSky are generally not aware of or jittering mad enough about the nuclear dumpster fire of a political situation we’re in which you - an elected - seem not to be doing a damn thing about? Sasha, what the fuck are you doing here?

My wonderful colleagues at New School have put together this terrific interdisciplinary conference celebrating 4 years of world-building work at the Mellon Initiative & I couldn’t be prouder & more honored to participate. If you’ll be in NYC on May 2-3, come thru!
