Personally...I think Andrea's essay is a beautiful argument for encouraging diasporic writers to brave the chance of being misunderstood...I also think as an essay that's specifically lauding Vuong's *improvement* it seems to have caused a more critical discourse...in light of NEA cuts..idk abt that
