And interns - not even juns, are actually even better, they cost peanuts, AI writes code, AI tests code, AI reviews code + review from seniors in a team = profit. But that’s not because big companies bet on “new blood” and have any plans to help those interns grow - they just need ai operators

This is what Shopify did recently - fired senior devs who, for whatever reasons refused to use AI, and now make bet on juns - they are way cheaper, less opinionated and can deliver more or less results with solid guidance.

They definitely should do it even more actively, because solid juns with AI and guidance on reviews from senior team members can deliver - I witness that in my team. But let’s not pretend it’s because inexperienced devs are “more creative” with AI or it’s not related to costs cut and savings only.

Gergely have you built anything with AI for couple thousands of LoC with some infra/db setup in it where you constantly need to keep LLM under control and not let it do stupid things and then ask it to redo and explain how exactly? How “creativity” will help you there ftfs?

Ох, старий, в роутерах основа швидкості це як ти будеш робити патерн матчінг. З мого досвіду - часто в Nextjs проєктах не так багато api ендпоїнтів. Не здивуюсь, якщо раніше вони були в одному скоупі з фронтовими і хтось додумався їх винести і матчити окремо 😄 Але що я про те можу знати

Ох, старий, в роутерах основа швидкості це як ти будеш робити патерн матчінг. З мого досвіду - часто в Nextjs проєктах не так багато api ендпоїнтів. Не здивуюсь, якщо раніше вони були в одному скоупі з фронтовими і хтось додумався їх винести і матчити окремо 😄 Але що я про те можу знати
