Protip, if you didn't get a static IP address from your ISP, you can reboot/unplug your modem, sometimes you just get a new IP address out of the blue.

Fair, I work in ICT (development in Java specifically), but I also help out older people. I even switched to Mac for the first time ever this year. And it just doesn't stop. How do people not try some basic resolving first? That at least all that I am doing.

I went from 95, 98, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 to 11. Hot take: To me it improved from the previous versions each time. The search is somewhat better actually finding the application I search for after typing Windows key + name of the application and hitting enter. But try PowerToys from Microsoft.
