Our NC senators did a great job for us by voting to reduce basic medical coverage at one end and eliminating the funds for Duke and UNC medical research which will have dire results for those of us who have cancer now and all those who will get it in the future. Thanks!

The stupidity of our congress amazes me. Wasting time on the Safe Act which only duplicates state laws that already require proof of citizenship to vote, and the Social Security, which, under current law requires non citizens to contribute, but does not allow anyone who is not a citizen to collect.

Phil Berger is a carpetbagger by definition. Imported from New York, taking over our local government thanks to a state constitution which allows the legislature to change its laws at will. Our attorney general within our, legal rights to file lawsuits against unconstitutional presidential orders.

Did anyone ever determine how many members of congress or their parents are US citizens because of birthright citizenship? If so, shouldn't they all be deported?

If Senator Budd is true to his religion he should be aware that one of the key principles is to treat others as yourself, which includes the immigrants who pick our crops and work in our slaughterhouses.

History tells us that autocratic regimes work to erase history that they disagree with. That has already started with pardoning the insurrectionists and removal of General Milley's portrait from the Pentagon.
