A week has already passed since the The XXVIII Triennial Congress of Ukrainian Canadians. We want to express our admiration and gratitude to the organizers, volunteers, and hosts who made this Congress possible. It was an honor to be part of it. “ДЕ ТИ — Where Are You?”

One day, we will all wake up, and this nightmare will be over.
But the reality reminds us every morning: the war is still going on, Ukrainian children continue to die. This Giving Tuesday, choose the children of Ukraine.

This week, we honour the memory of the millions of Ukrainians murdered during the Holodomor — the genocide of 1932–1933. Between 3.5 and 5 million people were killed. More than a third of all victims were children. At DETY, we honour their memory by fighting for the children of Ukraine today. 🕯️

Today, as we celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada, our hearts are filled with both gratitude and ache. Gratitude for every act of kindness. Ache for every child and family still living through war.
Our deepest gratitude to everyone who stands with Ukraine.

Last night in Ukraine, a 7-year-old boy, Makar Dorosh, was killed when a Russian missile struck his home. There are no words strong enough for this grief. Only a question that echoes in all of us: How many more children must die before the world says, “Enough”?

In Dnipro, life has just given us a double miracle: two families welcomed three little hearts each.
In times when russia hunts for our children, Ukraine embraces and cherishes them with all its soul. Every birth is not just new life, is our victory. #DETYproject #DETYWhereAreYou #StandWithUkraine

Ten years. Is it much or little? Between these two photos lie ten years of a lifetime. At moments like these, you realize how much war takes away: time spent with children, shared memories, and simple presence.

Tomorrow’s Trump–Putin meeting in Alaska will be watched closely around the world. Every stolen Ukrainian child must be returned. Without delay. Without conditions.” This must be the first item on any agenda — before borders, before sanctions, before anything else.

August 1st 2025, is a Day of Mourning in Kyiv to remember the lives lost in last night’s massive Russian attack. 9 people were killed including a 6year old boy. 124 were wounded, 10 children. How is it possible that someone can aim a missile at a sleeping baby?

One-year-old Dmytryk was killed in his own backyard. A Russian drone targeted and killed a Ukrainian baby — not on the battlefield, but at home, where he was simply playing.
This was not a tragic accident. This was terror.
