Neurodivergence, in comparison to neurotypical, is neither a strength nor deficit, but a descriptor of a brain type. Every individual has strengths and challenges. And letters are symbols, just less concrete than a photograph of an object. All students need access to literacy to fx as citizens

Agreed that they do. I think I poorly worded my observation/question - just thinking in the field of technology, it can't be new to have something changing rapidly, as its context changes? The newness to the field of study is what I question.

Yes. The authors explained it so well. Timely, as I was invited to be on an AI Task Force to develop guidelines around AI in our ISD. This definitely brought a new perspective… !

I think of non traditional assessments - multiple means of expression. Demonstrate learning through action & products. I think of UDL, and how the new literacies are part of the representation of any and all topics. Writing a paper is great, but for some - a podcast might be more meaningful?
