Thank you again everyone for the enthusiasm around Oobtober this year. I love doing it!

I'm still actively working on it and we'll resume the fight between Oob and Pan sooner rather than later.

The way I work is that I do have a general idea of where I'm going, but I don't know how or when or why. Obviously I've got some backstory plotted out that I'm going to work from here.

I like to keep the story a surprise for myself when I'm working on the page itself!

Now that Daima's over, let's take a look at how the Daima-Super combined universal backstory of #Oobtober shakes out.

I'm sure I missed some details, but we'll see as we go!

OVER 100 million years ago, THE GOOD GREAT DEMON KING ENLISTS SUPER MAJIN RYMUS TO CREATE THE OUTSIDE WORLD, LATER KNOWN AS THE MULTIVERSE. THIS PLANE OF EXISTENCE IS watched over by THE EARLIEST GENERATIONS OF KAIOSHIN. in turn, as rymus and the kaioshin represent peace and creation, the omni-king and hakaishin are enlisted to bring balance through destruction. in the 41st year of the divine calendar, the dragon god zalama creates the super dragon balls which exist as a total of 7 giant orbs between universes 6 and 7. over time, a sliver of these giant orbs makes its way back to neba, who uses it to create the first namekian-made dragon balls. as eons pass, abra becomes the great demon king. 75 million years ago, beerus seals the elder kaioshin in the z-sword. OVER 5 MILLION YEARS AGO, MARBA “CREATes” MAJIN BOO AT THE BEHEST OF BIBBIDI, A WIZARD FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD, BUT TO MEET HIS SPECIFICATIONS, SHE HAs TO USE SOMETHING THAT HAs EXISTED SINCE TIME IMMEMORIAL... after a brief rampage through the demon realm, bibbidi takes majin boo to the outside world for further testing and evolution. dabra sabotages his father, abra, by hiding the evil third eye. Around this same time, neba locks down the second demon world by creating inpenetrable shields of light. abra, spooked by these shields, having lost the third eye, and majin boo, decides to lock down the warp-sama that allow travel to and from the demon realm, and grant them the ability to allow travel between the worlds within to bypass the shields of light. a massive swath of the demon realm’s inhabitants escape to the outside world before the lockdown goes into place, including the entire namekian (minus neba) and gurindoan (minus degesu and arinsu) races. a fearsome race, the oozaruans, are believed to have escaped as well. Dabra overthrows his father and goes on to rule over the demon realm for millions of years the gurindoan nahare, who later goes by “shin,” becomes universe 7’s latest eastern kaioshin. perhaps drawn by the energy of the super dragon balls, the namekian (and oozaruan) refugees settle in universes 6 and 7. the namekians who travel to universe 7 find a planet similar to the second demon world and dub it “planet namek.” 5 million years ago, bibbidi unleashes majin boo on universe 7. boo’s rampage is devastating, wiping out nearly the universe’s entire hierarchy of kaioshin save for shin (and absorbing two of them). bibbidi brings boo to earth in a sealed state. here, shin kills bibbidi and leaves the sealed boo on earth. the gargantuan oozaruans evolve over time, becoming smaller and more agile as they lose their trademark pointy ears. now known as saiyans, they maintain a strange ability to transform into their oozaruan selves when exposed to a certain threshold of zenos. though a menacing race, one righteous saiyan, yamoshi, finds his history intertwined with the namekians. after becoming a super saiyan, his story is recorded in the namekian book of legends. tens of thousands of years ago, the namekian katatz sneaks into the demon realm to seek the wisdom of neba. neba grants katatz with an unusually long natural lifespan. katatz returns to universe 7. around a thousand years ago, shin encounters his brother, degesu, though the details remain murky. in age 261, a natural disaster befalls planet namek. katatz arranges to send his son to planet earth and dies soon after. around age 550, the saiyans of universe 7 invade planet plant, rename it planet vegeta, and eventually begin working worth king cold and freeza. fearing the saiyans’ true potential, freeza destroys planet vegeta, wiping out most saiyans. one remaining saiyan, kakarrot, is renamed “son goku” and winds up becoming earth’s greatest champion. bobbidi, a doppelganger of bibbidi who presents himself as his own son, sneaks his way into the demon realm and possesses dabra. the two return to universe 7 in an effort to resurrect majin boo. majin boo is resurrected and kills both dabra and bobbidi. majin boo splits into two entities. the evil boo retains the god power of the absorbed kaioshin, and is defeated by the inhabitants of universe 7. king enma, at son goku’s request, reincarnates the evil boo as oob, who grows up in the southern islands and trains under king chapa. in the wake of dabra’s death, his vice demon king gomah takes the reigns as great demon king. in investigating dabra’s death, gomah realizes the incredible power of son goku and his friends. dragon ball daima occurs more or less the same, though kibito-kaioshin never defuses and goku’s new super saiyan 4 form is a temporary boost granted to him by neba that can only be used in the demon realm... ...for reasons.
