Rereading through issue #32 of the Bendis/Maleev Daredevil run and got hit with the most lovely shot of nostalgia. What a beautiful time & era. I wish I could go back.

Catching up. Absolute Flash was good! They don’t give you a ton but Lemire sets this version of Wally West up well as a character, it’s visually really interesting & cool thanks to Nick Robles’ artwork, & it was nice seeing (spoiler character) pop up. I don’t think that’s the last we’ll see them.

It’s kinda funny seeing people hype up Muse for Born Again because in the comics he’s such a nothing character. He’s essentially just a cool concept with a creepy design & gimmick but that’s it. Soule didn’t really do anything interesting with him at all.

They got my boy running around in ugly generic MCU armor when he should be rocking something like this. All you need to say is the material is armored like we’ve seen with Fisk’s dress suits & Matt’s previous suits & call it a day. It’s a comic book show, no one should question it, nor should they.

The people who only know Daredevil from the Netflix show complained so much & I know the people at Marvel were aware of that so it basically confirms we’ll likely never get any of that Lee/Waid stuff in live action again which sucks because that version of Daredevil is so good & Charlie crushed it

It actually bums me out how much Daredevil’s appearance in She-Hulk was criticized for being “out of character” considering it was a great showcase of Charlie Cox being able to seamlessly pull off the classic, charming, scarlet swashbuckler version of Daredevil like in the ‘60s Lee run & Waid’s run.

It actually bums me out how much Daredevil’s appearance in She-Hulk was criticized for being “out of character” considering it was a great showcase of Charlie Cox being able to seamlessly pull off the classic, charming, scarlet swashbuckler version of Daredevil like in the ‘60s Lee run & Waid’s run.
This would be raw if he wasn’t wearing that god awful cowl with the pointy nose covering & dodgeball texture everywhere. They stuck to the basics with Muse’s costume. It’s just simple & looks great. I wish they’d streamline & simplify Daredevil’s like that too.

Watching 1989 & Returns after seeing so many modern comic book movies of the past 15 years really makes you appreciate what Burton & co. did with his films. So artfully crafted with a real vision & style. Returns looks like a beautiful snowy gothic & art deco painting with pops of color throughout.

It’s Fantastic Four trailer day! This is a big one for me since they’ve been my favorite Marvel Comics team since childhood. I’m quite skeptical of a lot of projects from that studio but I’m hopeful they will get this one right considering how important they are. Fingers crossed.
