Actually since it's a prequel this one might make you appreciate the others more. Especially since I don't see you playing the NES games.

Yeah it's probably my favorite MGS game even though i've never played the fourth one and the fifths was has better gameplay. This game juggles the gameplay and plot elements better than any other in the series imo. Also it pretty much has the best story.

You should play the first two before you play the third one. The plot will be a lot better to you if you do.
