I wear rings every day, and I have for almost 20 years, but my rings are very thin and smooth.
If I were to get married, I would have a similar wedding band, and that would be my daily wear, not the whole set. The flashy ring would get pulled out for occasions because it's not practical.

You bet your sweet ass I will not be going anywhere alone, I will not be going into that dark room/basement/attic/woods, and I will absolutely be asking the realtor to disclose any incidents that may have happened in any house or land I'm looking to purchase.

I finally sucked it up and gave my amaryllis a chop and repot to put into dormancy.
They had such gorgeous leaves, and I was enjoying them even without the blooms. Alas, I want them to bloom again for winter, so I chopped the leaves and placed them in the cool, dark hallway outside my office.
