Currently both hands gripping a taut fishing line which is attached to the threshing book I'm writing. Loving the pull, loving the challenge.
There is absolutely no reason in the world why a man in America may not write exactly what he feels, in any form that suits him, and if he has what is known as talent or even genius, there is no reason why it should not be published and be read and understood by many other Americans.
Jack Kerouac.

Sometimes a word just shows up and you can't help but love it, and it just reverberates inside your head for days, sometimes weeks, for no apparent reason. That word for me right now is 'janky.'

Loved narrating this audiobook, about the romance between a vampire and a vampire hunter. Now available on Amazon and other outlets. #queerbookreviews #queerromance #Sapphicromance #lgbtbooks #writinglife #audiobooks

LOVE how audiobooks make you intimate with new experiences, disciplines, ideas. Just finished reading a chapter of math equations and chemical formulas to make your head spin like a dust devil and tongue twist like Chubby Checker. Bring it on Laboratory Breath! #audiobooks #audiobook #audiobooksky

Finally catching up with Richard Powers' AMAZING novel. Also loving the audiobook version, performed by the equally amazing Suzanne Toren.

Dick Gregory Part 2:
"About that time, these three cousins came in. You know the ones I mean, Ku, Klux and Klan. They said, ''Boy, we're givin' you fair warnin'. Anything you do to that chicken, we''re gonna do to you.''
"So I put down my knife and fork, picked up that chicken, and kissed it.”

A reminder of the power of humor in the face of the unspeakable...... “I went down South to a restaurant, and this white waitress said to me, ''We don't serve colored people.'' I said, ''That's all right, I don't eat colored people. Bring me a whole fried chicken.'" Dick Gregory, comedian, activist.

A pessimist says: things couldn't be worse.
An optimist says: yes they could.
A novelist turns to the optimist and says: Dude, don't steal my thunder.

I LOVE structure and books on the subject. Yes, I've gone through Save the Cat Writes A Novel, etc. But lately, I'm appreciating Jill Chamberlain's Nutshell Technique. Yes, it's about screenwriting, but it also applies to novels. Check her out! #writersky #author #writers #blueskywriters

Writing's a lonely thing, they say. Pah! What's better than sitting here, away from the rush of the world, dreaming up exciting possibilities that could change my life and readers' lives? I mean, apart from sitting in a warm bath with a mouth full of gummies. #Writers and #authors whaddya think?

I can never be happy with just one creative outlet. So, in the the category the kids call #rocknroll, I have fallen in with, and am rehearsing with, a new band called Voltage Junkies. We'll be doing songs from the Mumps, Steve Earle, David Bowie, and more. Look for us hitting DC venues in 2025!

Just finished 43 chapters and 10 interludes for "There's Always A Morning," a vampire novel by Niranjan. Did about a dozen different voices, all from the UK and Ireland accent book. My favorite? The Welsh physician. I could almost do a spin off of that guy!

My next project is the audiobook recording of my father's groundbreaking book, 'Mata Hari: The True Story'. Was she a spy? Not really. Was she a scheming temptress? Not in the way movies and books have portrayed her. Can't wait to record the most accurate account of this fascinating woman's life.

Just recorded an audition where all my silly dinner repartee skills came into play: I did 5, count 'em, different accents from the UK plus one Irish. Love audiobooks!
