Overall, this State of Play felt a bit flat for me personally. There are a couple of games I want to play, especially Dynasty Warriors Origins. Not much outside of those games to get me hyped. I love my PS5, but I really hope the end of 2024 picks up and gets better than the start of the year.

And finishing up with a new Astro Bot. I'm actually excited for this one. I really enjoyed the one that was released with the PS5. It felt good to control and was very cute. I'll be able to play this with my kiddo. This series always feels like a celebration of PlayStation.

I've played one other Monster Hunter game before and the gameplay was too slow and the game was overall too grindy. This looks like more of the same to me. Gonna have to pass on this one.

Next on the list is Silent Hill 2. I think I might just need to add the first and second ones to my October games list. I've never played either, but have heard great things about them.

I never played Path of Exile on PC, so this could be a fun pickup on PS5. I always liked the Diablo games. I do get bored of them pretty fast though.

Until Dawn was already on other platforms, right? It looks like a fun spooky month game. It looks like a lot of horror movie tropes mixed with some elements from Saw. I really don't like that art style, but I could maybe overlook it if the gameplay is fun.

Where Winds Meet looks visually stunning. It looks like a Soulslike from the small preview we saw. I'm not into that style of game personally, so I'll probably skip it. However, if you are into them, especially Sekiro, I'm sure this will be a good time.

Next up is Marvel Rivals. This falls into the same category as Concord, it's just Marvel Overwatch. It helps that the characters are from IPs I know, however it is not as crisp graphically. All in all, I won't be playing this one either.

I'll sum up the 2 PSVR2 games, Skydance's Behemoth and Alien Rogue Incursion, impressed me with how far along VR on the Playstation seems to be coming. Not enough to put down the kind of money it would take for me to play the games though.

Ballad of Antara looks super interesting. I don't have much to say now, but I am looking forward to a gameplay trailer. It has piqued my interest.

Next we have Infinity Nikki. This is not a game marketed for me. I will say the world looks gorgeous and very interesting. A neat take on high fantasy creatures. I'm into that, but once we start going Pokemon Snap, you lose me. This one just isn't for me.

I am more excited for this game than I probably should be. I love the Dynasty Warriors series and this looks amazing. Graphically beautiful and looks true to form. I am worried about the game after the terrible experience in 9, but I'm willing to wait for more previews. I wish it was coming sooner!

Next up is God of War Ragnarok on PC. Not much to say on this one since I've played it and love it. My only thought really is that I'm glad more people will get to enjoy Kratos and Atreus' story.

Let's start with Concord, developed by Firewalk. Really great first impression with the cinematic trailer. However, once they confirmed my fear that it is a 5v5 FPS, I lost pretty much all interest. I don't really want to play Guardians of the Galaxy crossed with Overwatch.

Nope, never had the LCD model, this is my first SD. As of right now there is no way to get audio working on Windows for the OLED (maybe headphone work), so Windows gaming on it will lack sound. Eventually, the drivers will get released, but no one knows when. The LCD has all the drivers available.

I recently grabbed the OLED and it's awesome. There is one issue I've run into. I'm running Windows on it through an SD card, but Valve has not provided all the drivers for the OLED version yet. Only a problem if you have any need to run Windows on it.

I felt that way about the early PS4 controllers. They felt cheaper. After a couple of years they seemed to get back on track and continued with more solid buttons on the PS5. At least that's how it seems to me.

Gotta give it to the PS5 Dual Sense. I've always preferred Playstation controllers and the dual sense brought things to a whole new level.
