People who were forcibly disappeared and thrown into Assad's dungeons 13 years ago have been released, now seeing the light of day for the very first time.
The horrors they have seen, the agony of their loved ones not knowing their fate, now they will talk..

Besides the hundred thousand plus disappeared, there are 12 million #syrian refugees. I can't even imagine returning home with such anticipation and joy and hope and finding no one.
Many Syrians returned home in the past few days to be reunited with their loved ones.
But some did not find their loved ones, just an empty home ...

One of the reasons I support Amnesty International. The Syrian Civil War has been devastating for the people. My hope is there is enough cooperation to rebuild the country for the people and not just the few.

The last time I was here, June dislocated my hip. It has taken just over two years to go back.

#Calgary is making me cry with their tribute to the #Gaudreau brothers.
For those that are not hockey fans, the Gaudreau brothers were killed while riding their bikes by a drunk driver. Both of their wives are pregnant & it was the day before their sister's wedding.

Another freezing cold day, another walk. The dogs are good for me. I work from home and they get me out of the house. It's possible for me to spend weeks without leaving the house--that's probably not healthy.

Those of us over a certain age remember the horrors of this disease, the lives lost and the Reagan Administration doing fuck-all about it and staying silent on this disease until the late 1980's.
