It’s finally time for me to dive into “Shadows Upon Time” by Christopher Ruocchio. The Sun Eater series has been such an epic adventure, and it finally comes to a close.

There Are Endings, readers, and I am so very excited for this one!

Tonight’s book is “There Is No Antimemetics Division” by qntm. This is my first foray into their work. I’ve also only ever dabbled in SCP Foundation content, so I’m very interested to find out if this book holds up for those of us unfamiliar with the source material.

In my mind, the natural follow-up to reading The Freeze-Frame Revolution is watching Aniara (2018). Bleak, existential, and deeply haunting, it explores a lot of the themes found in Freeze-Frame, but from an opposing perspective. I love revisiting this one.

Permutation City by Greg Egan asks a lot of very important questions - namely, “what would you do if your world was a cellular simulation?” and “what if the digital copy you made of yourself really fucking hates you?”

Last night I read “The Freeze-Frame Revolution” by Peter Watts, and I’m still reeling from it a day later. My mind is lost in deep time with the crew of the Eriophora, building the galactic superhighway until heat death. Instant favourite.
