I can't believe I forgot to mention Vaesen. Dark gothic meets Nordic folk horror. Again, not played, but were I to run something truly horrifying, I would probably do this one.

For those in and around white collar industries, I think it does continue to be one of the more beneficial and healthy "social media" sites. Primarily because it is much more self-contained to be about industry networking, and dodges most of the drama found elsewhere. But otherwise, not useful.

No personal experience to speak from, but I know folks who would scream from the rooftops to try Delta Green here.

So whenever they order food, walk through a market, or even ask for a drink at the bar, I come up with a unique dish off the cuff that aptly fits this location and this location only.

Roasted, steamed, or fired? Fresh greens or ground tubers? Plentiful meats or grains or fruits? (Usually there's one but rarely all.) You get your players immersed with the depth you provide for the things they interact with. Other trappings they're not paying attention to are more easily forgotten.

I don't often codify something across a setting. But I do go out of my way to make sure that when characters enter a new location, I give them a sense of the area's climate, economy, and biology, simply through the description of the local foods offered. >>>>>

Probably admitting it's difficult to find those billion-dollar private investors in a world where they're facing multiple wrongful death and sexual predator lawsuits. Cash out now, spread ownership, and if things die down, buy it back in ~2 years at half the value.

Worth noting, I don't have a dog in any fight here. The last EH game I bought was FATE Core. But their online presence has typically been one of the most consistent positive experiences across two decades, both informationally and relationally.

They're genuinely good guys who've been around a long while and like to see others succeed as well. Pick their brains, applaud the transparency, and read everything before responding. Their threads tend to be long, but worth the read.

And look, in a vacuum (without context or knowing Rob or Fred), the numbers being discussed can seem daunting, misleading, or even outright irresponsible to share.

But this is where we need to do a better job as readers. Reactionary subskeets judging another's intentions are problematic.
