Wondering through a bookshop this afternoon I came across this little gem in the fiction section… it seems appropriate somehow that this masterpiece should find a place next to Spaffer’s catalogue of lies and failures! Irony is not dead…

Kemi Badenoch explains how she will make Brexit work

After Johnson tried it, Truss tried it, Sunak tried it, and now Starmer is trying it

They're all trying to make it work, and all that's happening is the UK is becoming poorer

There's some rewriting of history going on today where people are saying: oh, Labour is struggling with the economy too, maybe it wasn't all the Tories' mismanagement...?

The answer is that it's Brexit.

It's Brexit!

You can't fix the economy until you confront Brexit!

A quick look on the racism site shows that Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick is apparently outraged at the delays in the criminal justice system.

Y’know, the ones caused by the policies that he consistently supported. The ones that he was absolutely fine with when he was in government.

Really feel bad for LA residents with the fire. My daughter lives there and says it is terrible and the sky is blacked out from smoke. May God help them all and thanks for the firefighters doing what they do. They never get enough credit for risking their lives.

I swear to god, I’m still not convinced social media is worth it!
I developed a very thick skin on Twitter (over the years) & managed the platform well.
Mistakenly, I came on here & naively didn’t think I needed one.
I let my guard down.
More fool me!

I always buy the weekend “I Paper” which I believe to be relatively neutral.
Today, I mistakenly bought the “Daily Mail” and without realising read the first 7 pages and couldn’t believe what I was seeing…undiluted Tory/right wing crap… won’t make that “purchasing” mistake again!
