When simply existing visibly is considered making a political statement, when being unashamed means you get called an activist, it lends a remarkable clarity to things. Staying quiet about things you care about for fear of seeming biased is a fool's game; it just means you lose your voice.

This will be the last time I submit an abstract for a talk surrounding the topic of my now finished PhD. Is this goodbye?

(Me asking this when I should really be focusing on writing papers right now, as I am lacking in that part of academic productivity (while working on publishing my PhD thesis...) is perhaps another form of procrastination 😄)
