At Trader Joe’s, I saw a Black homeless woman. She was hungry but had food coming. She needed $5 for bus fare to see her mom. I gave it to her. Then, a white man walked up and gave her food. With DEI rollbacks and so much division, this moment reminded me—humanity still exists.
