The problem though is that there are enough people in a collective sense of delusion who will believe anything he says. This will be amplified by his minions on X and tomorrow will blow up in chat groups and forums. There is no way to counter this at this time

Even educated Trump voters are now sucked into the Elon news cycle. “USAID was paying news outlets and so media cannot be trusted. Anything Elon tweets get magnified by his minions and becomes the truth”. People I speak to think that Doge is doing great things, Trump has got trade concessions etc.

Assuming that most of the S&P earnings growth is from tech. My theory is that eventually, all tech serves to make our real lives better and therefore all this tech and hence earnings growth has to show up in companies that make “stuff”. So it will spread to sectors and countries. When? Who knows

It was horrific to see kids with polio crawling in the Mumbai streets. I had a friend who suffered through school and eventually passed. The decadence of the rich west on stuff like this infuriates me.
