But you'll get the "Blocked Messages" widget instead of completely excluding the message. I don't know what Elon is thinking about with these changes. I feel most of his decisions are purely on personal beliefs rather than actual internet safety from freaks, as he is one himself.

I'm not agreeing with anything Elon does. I believe Google/Apple wouldn't remove the app because of this change. Discord has something similar in mind. When you block someone, they can still see your messages and interact (excluding DMs). You won't able to get notifications about it.
