What a time! The golden days

I fought really hard to find work, to network, I changed myself just to get interviews, I wore straight hair and code switched like there was no tomorrow, I even stopped using my real name to get interviews.

It's nothing more I can do and it doesn't make sense to be here. 7/7

I could use some help raising funds to leave this city once and for all.

The money won't go to partying, or being cute, it's going to making sure I can leave and never have to deal with this place again.

The job market here is bad. There are NO jobs in design.

They're only farming our data or making is do case studies and stealing ideas.

And ALL THIS while living in a very toxic shared flat situation. 5/7

The whole while, my work load increased and I was even doing my managers work. Again, I needed the money so I kept quiet.

I was being promised to keep my job if I did more work.

And all the while I was job hunting and losing my mind. 4/7

There were two racist incidents that happened in that weird redundant period. Because I needed the money I stayed.

I did speak up but the company did nothing. I didn't have the money to take it to court so I had to let it go.

This really effed with my mental health. 3/7

Last year I lost a job JUST after I started working. Not cause I sucked, but because management sucked.

They kept pushing back my end date which was stressful, but also it was low key not 100% legal.

Then came the racism.. 2/7
