No kidding, it looks like a cheaply made mobile app on every platform now.

All I wanted was a fun little Sonic Fall Guys game and the sad part is that beneath the layers of bullshit it does a good job of that. Not a "2 years of delays" level of good, not even close, but like a 7/10 game I wish wasn't handled so terribly.

That being said: would not blame a single person for being entirely turned off by just how mobile game-y the interface is and the rampant "hey, look at this!!" types of pop-ups on the menus. That's by far the biggest complaint I have.

Surprisingly enough I'd say that's one of the the strong suits of the show even all these years later. Every now and then they'll do something really cool with the animation, the Death Note parody they did comes to mind there bigtime

Will say the Bulbapedia page shows the in-game size of the place and it's lowkey kinda funny.

"there's your map if you need it, 1 enormous straight line. No, we will not break it into chunks on the web page"

Both this and last year's Minecraft project were both fun little experiments with their ups and downs. I did end up scrapping the plan to continue this to a full "beat the dragon" playthrough for a couple reasons, but the time that ended up coming out of it was still fun
