Took a drive up signed Trail Canyon but actually Rock Creek Road. Was planning to loop over to Chiatovich and back to Fish Lake. Missed the USFS 2023 PR citing closure at the B&B Mercury Mine. What a toxic mess left behind by the mining co., that extracted, but was underfunded (bankrupt) 4 cleanup.

It's July 2, 2025. Almost $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid will impact all hospitals but especially those in rural areas. The Senate passed their bill. It will now be voted on in the House. Demand that your US Representative vote "NO" on this travesty: (202) 224-3121. Kevin Kiley for Inyo County.

For anyone following the 1.2 million acre public lands sell-off in the Big Beautiful Bill currently under review in Congress, it's not dead yet. Apparently, the Senator from Utah is still trying to get a watered-down version inserted.
