I think we all want just one thing to go right. Just one. And we can't even get that.
I had the privilege of her friendship for six years, and the loss still hurts. But with time comes healing from grief, and with that gratitude for them being in your life, and for the honor it was, and still is, to have known someone so important to a great country like Ukraine.

She fell in love with Ukrainian culture, studied the language, dreamed of living in Ukraine & applied for citizenship.
