C was in Thailand just a couple weeks ago for work stuff. She ate a lot of khao soi, which neither of us had ever heard of. She learned how to make it during a Thai cooking class, and tonight we had the yummiest meal I've had in a long time.

There's something special about the lift you get from a new pair of glasses. Also I made dinner tonight and I cracked one of the eggs too hard and it just spilled out onto the cooktop but I gathered it up and still managed to leave the yolk a little runny. I always serve C the nicer-looking dish.

I actually think this kitchen is incredible, even with the powder blue 70s set up. And yeah, that salamander. You don't have one of those unless you know. And also have a hood vent, you need one of those too
