first time stretching a “skin” for a rebab. the skin is actually a bladder, in Java I believe they use the bladder of cattle or water buffalo. All I can seem to find in the US is hog bladders. so experimenting with what I can get. #gamelan #rebab

picked up a kempul off craigslist. 21” diameter. will have to a bit of tuning work to get it in tune with my set (it’s a bit sharp of pitch 6), so the front will end up having to be polished to clean up grinding marks from the tuning work.
