this just reminded me that I've read TWUHB, recently even, but I cannot for the life of me remember how it ends, wtf brain??? Anyway the bits of it that I do remember were really good, and I think I'd have remembered if the ending wasn't? I'm going to have to re-read it now, aren't I?

I don't think this was what you intended

I don't think they intend to vibe-code faster simulations, I think they believe they can just ask an LLM to guess the outcome.

Native speaker here. Option A sounds better but is more likely to be interpreted literally. Option B is a less ambiguous but clunky. The only alternative I can think of is “Le legs du changelin”.

didn't *include Miles

I wasn't dunking... just trying to narrow it down. I don't understand why they didn't Miles. “They're saving him for a DS9 set” doesn't really fly because Worf.

One more thing: Deanna is not in uniform so it's early s6 at the latest.
November 6, 2025 at 2:52 PM
They have Beverly and Guinan so it must be s3 or later (even though Wesley is holding a prop from s1e3) since Guinan was not in s1 and Beverly sat out s2. And they have a bonus set with Ro Laren, who didn't appear until s5. O'Brien was well-established by then.

You know the story about the Louvre password is from 2014, right?

If your employer is a startup or scale-up, then yes, absolutely. If it's an established concern that pays out dividends, not really.

Wait, did I read the wrong version of The Martian? Did everybody else somehow read a different edition which doesn't assume a much thicker atmosphere than Mars actually has and doesn't repeatedly make elementary errors in chemistry and physics, like confuse units of mass and volume and ignore heat?

fwiw “cisgender” is spelled like that, or “cis-gender” if you insist, but never “CIS-gender”. It's not an acronym, it's the Latin word for “adjacent”.

ls usually replaces non-printable characters with either a placeholder or an octal escape when printing filenames.

The only parts of the White House that are 200+ years old are the outer walls of the Executive Residence (the White House proper), built in the 1790s, and the porticoes, added in the 1820s. Everything else was built between 1902 and 1952. None of the furnishings are original either.

The East Wing is not 250 years old. It was built in 1942 to conceal the fact that a bomb shelter was being constructed underneath.
