Enjoyer to all things IT. Sci-fi fan and fan of most shows that start with 'Star'. Occasional Whovian, and less occasionally, breaker of technology.
So, why not abandon ship and go full time on Bluesky and Threads? I don't understand the obsession with going down with a sinking ship where nobody can hear you anyway.

Wow, that's cool. It's always annoyed me that I can't have the same cam in 2 apps - not because I need them in 2 apps, but because some BS bug causes it to *think* it's using one of them. Happens all the freaking time.

Huh? We're talking about software here dude. I couldn't give a crap who owns it. You can't magically unencrypt data, even if you wrote the software (which, Meta did not).

METAdata...not conversation data.

No app running on corporate servers are technically safe. Both WhatsApp and Signal are end-to-end encrypted meaning the company sees no encrypted data in transmission. Both are equally safe, as far as message security anyway.

And by saying hire people of course I'm not saying anyone else isn't a person. I'm saying treat the world as full of people, not black people and white people.

I was referring to the actors not the writers....

Nothing says equality like making the lineup 'predominately people of color'.
How about we just put people on screen that are good actors instead of cherry-picking for an agenda?
I don't understand why we have to overdo one way or another. Just hire people.

Office 365 won't be supported. Perpetual versions should still be maintained until their EOL.

Kinda makes sense since Windows 10 is going EOL.

And I thought he was one of the good ones (comparatively speaking)

FYI modern Windows 'features' are in the Settings app, not the Windows features control panel. Yet another confusing part of Microsoft trying to depreciate the Control Panel (why can't we have both?).

I don't remember saying 'let it slide'. I'm saying wait for the fires to stop burning before you start the politics.
January 14, 2025 at 1:25 AM
Deal with the politics later. Nothing is gonna help by laying blame while it's happening.
