Derron Ellies shares his Thoughts on Grief: Grief has so many faces. One minute you’re out, singing karaoke with some of the most beautiful people you know. The next, you’re out cold in bed, waking up to tears and not leaving your bed except for food and water. Of course you find yourself questioning whether Life truly makes sense. Of course, you know deep down that it does. Just not to you at that point in time. And the cycle rinses and repeats… Until the pain reduces somewhat; Knowing that it will never disappear.

I really and truly love this space.
I am Derron Ellies, a 41 year old male musician from Trinidad and Tobago. I am a black man with locs, of mixed heritage, who plays the Steelpan, writes songs and sings. In this photo, I am raising a toast to you with a local beer branded Stag… originally known as known as the people’s beer, but also recently referred to as a man’s beer. Don’t worry. Women also enjoy it, and are encouraged to once of age.
