He removed the dialogue, added modern songs, and cut around 20 minutes. It would be great if someone released both versions as a set.

I had the same reaction. Rather difficult to get fully engaged with a show where as soon as you settle in, they're suddenly over. Wish I'd waited until all the episodes were available and watched them in 2 or 3 blocks.
