Truly shameful. Difficult to watch and agreed, so many people have spent time and effort to build their worlds around these services. Switching can be hard, especially if there are few alternatives.

This is a great point. Many invest in small process improvement programs to fix very specific things but the investment in prices improvement as a company edict is very rare.
