It's the Swiss trains. Formerly, German trains were aloud on Swiss railtracks, but since they have so many delays, they must stop now at the German Swiss border. German travellers then have to disembark and use a Swiss train to continue their travels in Switzerland. The times they are a'changing. 🎶

nope, only when the train is delayed. and it wasn't. they would probably make you pay more because they argue if you sweat you lose weight.

arrived in Düsseldorf after 4 hours in what felt like a sauna. ah, Germany isn't anymore what it used to be. but I guess that's what all old people say.

Oh, well, sitting in a train with a broken air conditioning. But thanks for asking!

This is what I was wondering: what are they doing? Are they doing something. It's pretty silent on their side. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Otherwise, I'd call them blogers, vlogers or whatever they are. But it's tempting to use "mainstream media" in order to keep it short. :)

Actually, I use "the media" as an umbrella term for the classic trio print, TV and radio as well as the web and social media. When I have to differentiate, I just list which media I mean. Does that make sense? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wouldn't use Trump's and MAGA'S derogative term "mainstream media" though. ;-)

By all means: go smartphone. 📲 But that's something @marcsettle.bsky.social would have told you, too. The one thing he and I could never agree on was whether it's got to be an iPhone or an Android device. :)

And if they didn't fix it in London, it didn't bother them. 👍 I'm not familiar with the apps you have to use for the BBC. But if you have the chance, you can use Apple's own Final Cut Pro App for filming and fixing the white balance beforehand.

It's not too bad. One could have fixed it in post - with VN Video Editor (iOS and Android, free app) fir instance. But it might have become greenish (photo). So given the short time. All's well. :)

Ah, now that you mentioned it, Florian, I've been using mostly iPhones at work for more than 2 years now. It's a dream. :)

For social media - yes. For more professional productions - maybe less so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm more and more interested in those which are really, really good!

Interesting. I had a different impression while I was working for the BBC. But that was half a lifetime ago. Best wishes, B.
