He sees the government as his own personal piggy bank. Starving people begging and crying out for help interferes with that concept.

The US Constitution becomes just another piece of paper once judges decide they are entitled to 'gifts'. Impartiality at the Supreme Court is a thing of the past.

Even if Danielle get ALL of what she's asking the Federal government to do, she will STILL play to her bigoted and ill-informed base by blaming everything on the Federal Government. Suddenly the base will expect her to pivot from oil pipelines and emissions, to cultural wars (anti-LGBTQ+, etc).

I live in a rural area outside of Edmonton. What I find is that many of the residents in this county have a victim mentality. Everyone outside of their bubble is out to get them. Combine that with their far-right lens of what rights and freedoms are, and you get ill-informed voting block.

From another Albertan ... you're absolutely correct. He portrays calm, confident leadership. The right man at the right time.

America doesn't know what they represent anymore. For now, the electorate chose Trump as its voice, knowing from his campaign that he was going to back Putin in Ukraine/Russia negotiations. America has lost it's way.

I see that CBC Poll Tracker uses results from 'Mainstreet Research' which consistently shows a tighter race than any other reputable polling company. Their last poll shows PC's in the lead. Does anyone have insight into their methodologies, or are they just trying to skew averages?

I'm confused why you felt you needed to make this point??? They are not campaigning to become the next administration. They are trying to raise awareness, and mobilize people. You complain all the time that Democrats aren't doing enough. But when they do, you try to kick them down. WTF???

After last night's English Language Debate, I voted for Mark Carney this morning. Each candidate brought up good ideas representing a potentially strong Liberal leadership across the board. I was particularly impressed with Karina Gould who should be looked at for future leadership potential.

It took several 'I do this for a living' statements before the MAGA guy started to realize his Trump indoctrination wasn't correct. And yet, I'm still not sure if he was willing to believe them in the end. I think he was looking for a hasty exit from their conversation.

With any government that's been in power too long, many Canadians in the center simply want change. Luckily Mark Carney represents enough of a change that centrists are starting to change their minds about voting conservative. That, and watching the shit-storm in the US is a cautionary tale for us

This just proves that MAGA Republicans value 'playing politics' over people's actual lives. Disgusting and completely inhumane. That will be their legacy.
