Yeah, this site doesn't seem to have anything resembling FB groups... that's going to be a major flaw in it...
I've joined the Science 'feed' (closest that they have to groups), but it is just a stream-of-consciousness feed with no organization to it...

I don't think there are any 'groups', of the type that fb has; I'm following the Science feed, but not sure there are any threads there, I think there are just independent posts, listed in date order... I'm hoping I'm just missing things...
