It was such a beautiful day for a walk at Arbor Hills Nature Reserve in Plano. It’s always been one of my favorite places to run or walk.

My first novel was a YA mystery, a contemporary throwback to the old, dark, gritty pulp fiction and film noir classics like “The Maltese Falcon” and “Double Indemnity.” Think John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson meet The Hardy Boys and you got it! a.co/d/5GEvESX

If I had a chance to meet anyone who came before me it would be this amazing woman whose life story was as amazing as the stories she wrote. She died January 12, 1976, the day I turned 10. I’m inspired by her every day

Had a great time this past weekend with my brother Felix from Geneseo, NY (near Buffalo). Felix and I discovered each other 3 years ago through 23 and Me. He’s turned out to be a really amazing little brother.
