No #AWP for me this year. But @lightscatterpress.bsky.social will be there with a bunch of materials from Reading Water--perfect time to preorder.

& you can read poems from the collection at the book fair in the latest issues from @sugarhousereview.bsky.social & Barrow Street.

A very important poem from Reading Water (forthcoming May 1st) is published in the latest issue of @sugarhousereview.bsky.social. My thanks to the editors. I've enjoyed reading through the issue these last few days.

I was a part of an interesting roundtable discussion with @onlypoemsmag.bsky.social about my experience publishing my debut poetry collection, Reading Water, which is out next year with @lightscatterpress.bsky.social.

Shogun is for the poets!

Yabushige's death poem:

My dead body
Don't burn it, just leave it in the field
And with it, fill the belly of some hungry dog.

I've got a long article in the new Writer's Chronicle on poets, actors, film, persona, & voice; it looks at poems by O'Hara, Bidart, Ai, & Dimitrov.

I'll make the article free in a couple months, but for now you need a subscription to read it.

I'm thrilled to have @lightscatterpress.bsky.social publish my debut collection of poems next year, & I'm honored Eduardo Corral chose Reading Water as winner of the 2023 prize.

The last poem in I Was Waiting to See What You Would Do First, by Angie Mazakis, is a stunner.

My movie theater attendance has been pretty good over the last year. I'm trying to get back into the habit of going regularly.

Seeing a matinee of Bones and All, randomly, in Paris, next to the Champs-Élysées was the best, though. Or the best since moving abroad.
