#TikTok was down for a full 14hrs, but appears to be back.
So the shut down was either truly performative or TikTok has a buyer. Neither option has great implications for the future of the app, but I’m glad we have it.

I understand AOC could be saying this to save clout in the wake of the #tiktokban, but if true, it lends credence to the fact that this was a top-down manufactured issue to control free speech, and never about national security
